Wow well wupty do 1% point. The US is still nearly the fattest nation in the world with a quater of its people obese.

Come one y'all, can we really settle for second? Is American meant for sloppy second? Are you going to let them out "win".

What is sad is that as former champs the US still has 25% of its population considered obese. With all that and the problems that come with it you would think we could at least be number one. The Aussies will never give up the bragging rights. Actually serves some of those american bashers right. Down Under fatties.

I was going to post a funny pix, but I dont want to get yelled at again for not being nice.

Which brings up another point, why is it ok to talk about people who smoke but if you say anything about some 200lb person eating french fries all of sudden your not nice? Fat people are draining health care not smokers. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Anywho back on track, cant americans be first at anything?

does anyone know what causes this?

I think it has something to do with microwave ready meals - that's what seems to have caused problems in the UK anyway. (Germany doesn't do shit food like that, and has no obesity problems)

What is wierd is that there are no studies on this (well, I haven't seen any)

What causes it? Not fast food. I think its just that people eat to cope with stress where other places have other methods. PE in US schools had declined to the point of just dressing out make you pass as well.

Ultimately it's just laziness. There lazy you are, the more you will use your microwave, the more lazy you are, the more you will eat fast food, etc. There may be certain trends in our food and diet that "cause it" but ultimately individuals bring it on to themselves. Although I do feel really bad for middle school age and younger kids who are grossly obese, I would have to blame the partents for that.
