Its racist, and if it ever wants to succeed it had best let the Palestinians finish creating their own state and they move there. If Israelis/Palestinians can not agree on anything that's a sad thing, but in the longrun it will be better for the whole world to have the two states whether separate or joined.

So we can still blame it on the French, right? After all it was Napoleon who first offered to return Jerusalem to the Israelites. But by that time it wasn't like it had been the Palestinians and the Israelites fighting back and forth. Whatever happened to Byzantium rule, or the Romans? Maybe we blame it on the Romans for converting to Christianity... The strategic position of Jericho is what people want. The Israelites want their land back, that is what Zionism actually MEANS. The unfortunate thing is they don't have any more claim to the land than the Palestinians do. If anything the nomadic tribesmen who originally settled that area do. They settled there first when the environment allowed for agriculture and real life support, right? It was something like 8000 BC when that happened and I don't think there's a lot of record before that. Do we carry this battle for land back to figuring out when the first single celled animal migrated to that area or something? Or maybe try to figure out what religious philosophy the first bacteria followed? But the people we know as Palestinians today are not exactly directly descended... How complicated. But you saying that both states should exist or whatever it is you just said there, I don't see how that fixes anything because the Israelites want to do the Palestinians like the Americans did the Native people when the US was first being settled and that continues on to this day. They want to fence them in to ever smaller territories, dissect their culture and remove their ability to exist. Simple physics: two particles of matter cannot occupy the same space at the same time. It's not about being legitimately recognized as a sovereign state, it's all about the location. It's that (Zionism) and the battle between Christianity, Judaism and the Sunni and Shia factions of Islam. It's about people involved in the MIC and the religious people who use that to advance their agendas.

Ultimately what irks me is that as an American citizen I don't give a shit about Israel. I want us to have nothing to do with them at all. I don't want us focused on building some empire or being Israels' bitch. I want leadership that can lead without having to use a religion to make an excuse for doing something.
