This documentary focuses on philosphies of negative and positive liberty from Isaiah Berlin, and goes through the oligarchs and neocons and their efforts to force us to be 'free'. Thought people here might like it, this is actually the third part of a series called 'The Trap: What Happened to Our Dream of Freedom' - shown on BBC last year. it's by the same guy who did The Power of Nightmares series with the episode about how Al Qaeda is basically a lie.

I hate BBC news, but at the same time they've had some great documentaries. same for Channel 4 in UK. They've shown John Pilger documentaries like War On Decmoracy even on ITV - these are all main UK channels. Although i don't think they put them on when a lot of people will be watching or if they do it's on some channel like BBC Parliament which no one ever watches cause it's so fucking boring most of the time.

Even so, still seems a lot better than US media although that's maybe not saying much.

I wish there were attempts to explain how good information gets on t.v. as often as people attempt to explain how the propaganda and misinformation gets there. It'd be nice if there were more things for people to do than be angry.
