Most have roughly translated the revealing middle portion, I provide a translation in full:

SOLIDARITY – In fact, solidarity with Berlusconi was expressed by Vannino Chiti's administration, minister for Parliamentary Relations: "I express my solidarity with Silvio Berlusconi, called into question along with other European leaders by the terrorist Osama Bin Laden in his message of propaganda. The political institutions of Italy, the engagement of the greater whole and the solidarity of European nations must remain strong in the face of terrorism and the in face of such absurd propaganda".

The translation was kindly provided by a friend studying European languages, who spent time in Italy studying Italian. When asked about the source, he (wishing to remain anonymous) replied:
<em>"The website it is on (Corriere della Sera) is one of the two main national newspapers in Italy. Definitely a broadsheet, very serious and usually full of political articles, I think a little conservative if I remember correctly. It's a good source."</em>
The comments by Francesco Cossiga should be taken seriously. Not only is he quoted by a major Italian newspaper of repute, but he himself has a long history of involvement in Italian politics, eventually becoming President and then Life Senator. Furthermore, he has admitted to being involved in setting up Gladio, the project responsible for much of the false flag terrorism that plagued Europe in the 1960s and 1970s (blamed on Communists), so one would expect him to be familiar with the tactics, goals, propaganda, and players involved with false flag terrorism.
Cossiga claims that 'all the democratic circles of America and Europe' know that the 911 attacks were a CIA/Mossad/Zionist operation. And yet he's the first (to my knowledge) highly placed member of these circles to share this knowledge in public, and the 'mainstream' media has otherwise ignored and opposed arguments and evidences supporting such a stance, whether from democratic circles or otherwise.
There are <A HREF="http://georgewashington.blogspot.com/2006/06/media.html">many respectable, authoritative individuals</A> who have come out questioning the official story of the 911 attacks. However, very few have brought to the spotlight the Mossad and Israeli involvement as dramatically as Cossiga has.
