Please correct me if I'm wrong, during the 2nd world war, wasn't most of the infrastructure of Europe destroyed or in effect rendered useless? Is it true that the only industries allowed to fully operate were the ones that supported the the German war machine? Is it true that most of commerce in European nations occupied by Germany were brought to a halt by the Germans? Did the Germans institute a curfew in the countries they occupied? Is it true that a large number of the roads, bridges, railway tracks and airport runways were in a effect destroyed or rendered useless, with exception to those deemed valuable to the German war machine? Is it true that the Germans were the ones responsible for the shutdown of most commerce in Europe? Of the infrastructure and commerce that the Germans allowed to function, were these not targets of the allies, did the allies not destroy most of the infrastructure that remained in an attempt to halt the Germans? Were much needed supplies for the German troops not available because the roads, bridges, railway tracks and airport runways were destroyed? Were there shortages of food, clothing and basic supplies? Did the Germans confiscate most of the raw materials and food products needed for their troops? How did those other than the troops survive without food and supplies? Its my understanding that shortages were severe throughout Europe, particularly in the occupied nations, is this true?

I would like to hear some feedback, if I am incorrect in my assumptions, please correct me, thank you.

I'm going somewhere with this, but I need your help to be sure my facts are correct and accurate.

I started the same thread in another forum, I wondered how different the responses would be, in this forum ....no response / in the other forum plenty of response.

the other forum is "debate both sides", my name there is the same as here.
it took only 2 hours or so before I was called a NAZI, AND NOT ONCE PRIOR TO THAT DID I MAKE ANY REMARK ABOUT JEWS, it is amazing how if you even dare brush up against the subject of WW2 history you are called a hate monger. I simply ask for the facts, and I was called names, if you search for the truth with regard to the war you are labeled a revisionist, this leads me to believe that there is indeed something that is hidden from historical records.

I must do more research now, I can not let this rest, I must now know the whole truth, as it really happened.

I read in this forum many times about the war and I wonder?

Its my stance that many people died because of starvation, diesaeses and exposure, the numbers given vary, and I am sure they are not precise.

Any input you folks could give would be appreceated, thank you.
