lol ,techincally your right if intentions are evil ,but evil doesn't exist in heaven therefor technically im right. desire is not always a bad thing , like when a muslim prays and does good actions because they desire to be close to god .right brother ?

Haha..this is a funny thread. I do think I was drinking a bit too much ‘wine’.
If I get to pick anything for my heaven, it would be cool people, my kitty and cool environment, like the Canyons or waterfalls w/ secrets gardens kinda thing.

Quote: The point is an image of heaven is made for the rightous ones. Do you really believe that heaven has goblets of wine and honey and children and beautiful women etc. Dude I can just go to LA at night and find that.
My point is it's metaphorical, it's a statement that mankind can relate to something being nice. Who knows what heaven is or what it looks like.
And that is one of the key breaking points of religion. The religious pick and choose what is metaphor and what is to be taken literally. Why not 100% of it being metaphor? Or why not 100% of it to be taken literally? The way I see it, if it hasn't been specified as metaphor in a book considered to be divine truth, it is to be taken literally.

My heaven would be not being dead.

Honestly, I dont think I would want to live forever. Death is a natural process like being born.
I just think I would rather live like my cat not aware of my death. Then other times I think being aware makes life more meaningful.
