I'm up in Canada, we have a different voting system up here.
I've been telling people about Ron Paul since I've started coming to this site (and there are a LOT of Americans in my area).
Sadly, few of them have even heard of Ron Paul, but hopefully as he gets more media exposure, it'll jog their memories of the conversations I've had with them about him.

So how does it work down there?
Does each state have a primary vote, or is it just selected states?
Does a candidate have to win a majority (51%) of the states to win the primaries?
Is there a schedule of states having their primaries?

An interested Canadian rootin for y'all.

P.S. my girlfriend is down in Louisiana for a while (already a red state), and she's doing her part down there, she's coming back with a Ron Paul bumper sticker for me!

I'm not entirely sure on this one, but here's my understanding of the process> Every state has a primary and then the leadership of each respective party announce their candidate at the national convention the summer before the election. Also, while I'm on the subject: Has anyone else here(American) signed up to be a delegate for the RNC? I heard we need, like 3500 or something if Paul is gonna have a real shot at winning. Basically, Funk, let me just say this: It's REAL fucked up. I mean, like REALLY bad. Some states are hypothetically more important than others based on when they hold their primaries(Iowa, New Hampshire, etc)But regardless of primary results the nomination ultimately rests with the party leadership and the delegates. They just generally use the primary results as a kind of political barometer for who's the most electable. Also, since traditionally this is such a fucking partisan county, people will change their primary vote depending on how a candidate does in the early states. A Floridian who likes Obama now might decide to vote for Edwards if he has alot of success early. It's because when it all boils down these people see everything in black or white, ahem. I mean Democrat or Republican. Most delegates(that's why RP needs more) don't give a shit about individual candidates, just that their party has the best shot at winning. OK, I've talked myself into a hole and I'm sure that hasn't cleared anything up. Forgive my retard-o-rant because I'm also sure I don't have any idea what I'm talking about here. Just throwing it out there...

Yeah, it's confusing allright.
Then there's the college vote.

And, well, while we're on the topic... are there going to be paperless voting machines again, especially in the important states?

Shit, it's like pushing a rock up a mountain.

Here is how it works. There are in reality 2 parties in America, the Democrats and the Republicans.

They don't want to split their vote so what they do is each party has a primary.

So for example rather than some democrats voting Obama and some Hillary they have an election before the election to decide which democrat the Democrats like the most then they put all their eggs in one basket and run that person against the whoever the Republicans pick.

Looklike it will be Obama and Hillary VS Rudy and Romney. However we are trying to make it Ron Paul and whoever he picks Vs whatever Satanic leader the Demon-crats pick.

It could be Paul and Kucinich and the internet vs two Zionsits plus the media.

If Paul has a chance to be heard by the American people in a debate against shillary he will destroy her on everything. The US is anti-war now that gas prices are up and the shock of 911 is waering off.

Yes, the peasants are getting restless.
Makes me wonder just what the buggers have up their sleeves, you KNOW their having long meetings hashing out Plan A, or Plan B all the way to Z.

I think that as much as 9/11 seems to have died down, it's still alive and well online, and dare I say it the vids by Alex Jones, etc, etc, people still get a dose of it.

One prediction: I think on Dec 16th the Tea Party campaign wil raise MORE than 10 mil... I'm going to say 15. This is taking off.
Seems like every month there's a new doccumentary on Iraq. And now the buzz word is $200 oil, especially with the economy taking a shit. And then Iran?

I think Ron Paul has already won.
But the status quo are going to refuse to retire.
There had better be bloody riots if the voting machines get rolled out and Hillary gets it.

the college is meaningless they always vote for whoever their state picked not once have they done otherwise.

Each state has voting power based on its population.

Yeah each state has a primary. It's basically just like the general election where they "officially" vote for delegates to vote for their candidate. States don't all vote on the same day so some states are way more important than others. Most primary states aren't even that important. If a candidate wins the first two primaries (Iowa and NH) then he probably has the nomination locked up. Ron Paul's best chance is to win New Hampshire cause it's filled with independent voters.
