CNN March 22, 2003 just four days into the war they report.
Quote:
Resolution 1441 demanded that Iraq give up its alleged weapons of mass destruction. The measure threatened "serious consequences" if Iraq did not disarm.

The U.S., Britain, and Spain introduced a newer resolution to the United Nations on February 24. It stated that Iraq was in "material breach" of Resolution 1441 - language that could have led to the U.N.'s involvement in the current strike. However, the U.N. did not pass the measure. So the current strike against the Gulf nation comes without the full support of the U.N. - a move President Bush had insisted the U.S. and its allies would make, if necessary.
-source CNN

Well guess what? They didn't have any of those weapons and they did disarm therefore they did not break UN resolution 1441, And this war is Illegal.

Now you all know that the war party and press changed their story and flip-flopped their reasons for the war several times after it became clear that even Johnny Public was not going to believe in WMD any more when none were found.

I want you to all remember that the legal reason for the war was not killing Saddam, spreading Democracy, or fighting terrorism, it was UN resolution 1441 which they claimed to KNOW Iraq had broken yet we KNOW that this was a lie because of the Niger Forgeries the Downing Street Minutes and a dozen other things.

Totally agree. People have a short memory span and start spurting out the same bullshit the govt is saying. I remember when they didn't find WMD they did a U turn that it was all about Saddam. Blair had the gall to say 'IS THE WORLD A SAFER PLACE WITHOUT SADDAM' and some dimwit journalist who seemed setup said OH YEAH IT IS, YOU'RE RIGHT, THIS WAR IS OKAY'.

Infact we should make this a sticky, people forget..

"We are teachers of international law. On the basis of the information publicly available, there is no justification under international law for the use of military force against Iraq.

The UN charter outlaws the use of force with only two exceptions: individual or collective self-defence in response to an armed attack and action authorised by the security council as a collective response to a threat to the peace, breach of the peace or act of aggression. There are currently no grounds for a claim to use such force in self-defence.

The doctrine of pre-emptive self-defence against an attack that might arise at some hypothetical future time has no basis in international law. Neither security council resolution 1441 nor any prior resolution authorises the proposed use of force in the present circumstances..."

Didn't we pretty much sidestep the UN to invade Iraq? Shouldn't that make the US subject to sanctions under UN rules?

I knew they were lying about WMD from the beginning and I know they are lying about Iran too.

I actually thought they would plant WMD, and don't know why they didn't. Maybe becuase if they found it then it would mean mission accomplished for sure and they would have less reason to stay in Iraq.

They did not plant them because the faction that was supposed to do that was being monitored by Plame's team working for BJA. The CIA monitors Uranium which the OSP had lied about and had planned for the ATC people to plant but they didn't do it because they had already been watched so they tried to pass it off to Iraqi defectors but they failed to to it too.

All in all they knew they controlled the media and it would not matter if any WMD were there or not because the media would never come out and plainly admit that there were no weapons and that is why some Americans still think they are there or that they were moved to Syria which was another lie the MSM pushed.

The Iraq War was supposed to be quick like a little drive by war like Afghanistan but the Iraqis did not greet the US with flowers and cake like the arrogant Neocons thought. The insurgency still stands and the Neocons could not move quickly into Syria as they had planned and then Israel got its ass handed to them in Lebanon, next up is Iran. Israel balems Iran for its loss saying that Iran suppies Hezbollah.

Thank the Iraqis for fighting so hard because that is what halted this. The Neocons always wanted in-fighting to use it as a pretext to Balkinize Iraq into three countries with the Israelis controlling Kurdistan in the North. But it did not go like thta. The Iraqis have been fighting the Americans together despite the false flags on religious factions and the media:s constant portrayal of Sunnis and Shiites fighting and trying to turn it into a religious thing... The Iraqi people in general fight the occupation because it is an occupation not because they belong to a certain religion. Like Hezbollah they were under estimated.

Ry
have you thought about the south of Iraq as being part of the promised lands. From the book of Genisis; greater israel will extend from the river in egypt(the nile) to the Euphrates..

On that day, God made a covenant with Abram, saying: "To your descendants I have given this land, from the river of Egypt as far as the great river the Euphrates. The land of the Kenites, Kenizites, Kadmonites; the Chitties, Perizites, Refaim; the Emorites, Canaanites, Gigashites and Yevusites." - Genesis 15:18-21

therefore one theory is that Iraq is being systematically 'ethnically clensed' to lay the ground work for Greater Israel.

greater Israel need water and oil from Iraq...
