you know statements like that, make you so angry but, its time for us to start creating rather than trying to talk.

These people believe in a armaggedon, or a 1984 state. One or the other, but regardless they are beyond talking to. And we waste are time talking instead of organizing.

Like why don't we start organizing and working for a way for lebanese children, and non-criminal lebanese a safe exit from that country.

Why don't we start beating these crazies to the punch, rather than talking about how wrong they are afterwards?

yah, he should lets not forget that. Lets start pushing for these things to happen rather than, pushing for some one to make these things happen. Your smart, good hearted determined person, i'm suprised he isn't already. : )

yeh but it looks like they will hit the golden heights and drag Syria into it. (they never did get back their two captured soldiers [if they even exist]) Think about it the UN has a cease fire yet Israel does not get its soldiers back you think they would have put that on the demands unless there never were any soldiers or they were in a hurry to stop because they were getting their asses kicked.

If Israel attacks the Syrians that will drag Iran into war.

I agree that Hezbollah is Lebanon's legitimate militia, I call them the LDF (Lebanese defense force), and the Lebanese govt is a joke. And Hezbollah would fight Israel to a stop (on the ground), the LDF has been arming up too, fortunately. But Hezbollah doesn't get a majority of it's funding from Iran. If Iran suddenly abandoned them Hezbollah would be none for the worse. It gets the bulk of it's funding from donations from individuals around the world, and that's no accident. Just read the statements made by it's leaders. If Hezbollah depended on any state, they would be vulnerable thru that state, since it would provide it's enemies (Israel & the U.S. mainly) with a target.
It's diversified.
I also agree that Iran would blacken our eye big time. We have 3 carriers in the gulf and each one carries about 5000 soldiers. Iran has missiles capable of taking out a carrier, and these missiles go too fast to shoot down. Think of a casualty rate of 5000 in one single incident.
The American people would lynch the rapture-ublicans if that came about. And the Iranians don't screw around, they'd stream across the borders and overun our forces in Iraq. The only reason the original invasion was so swift in Iraq was because we'd spent the previous 6 months bombing and rocketing the Iraqis already devastated infrastructure, we softened them up, destroyed any air capability and removed their anti-aircraft capability. Iran is intact and armed to the teeth with the latest weaponry, including Russian fighter jets.
This is why I don't think the admin is crazy enuf to attack. Of course, I could be wrong, the chimpfokken are pretty out there.

Here's the problem. There's no way that US troops would overtake Iranian troops in a groundfight in close quarters (with no way for air support) If they went into Iraq, there is a good chance that this war party would use a nuclear bomb to stop them because it would be the only way. And it would be a cowardly act, and we would be condemned worldwide. Iran knows how to play chess (as demonstrated yesterday), but they are prepared to die for their country. I see a lot of gung ho individuals here rooting on the attack on Iran just to see the bloody nose of the US troops. If it happens, we will not see it officially, I promise you. I admit that it would be interesting to see the outcome, if it were a hollywood movie. but it's not. It's real lives. It's our troops. It's my countrymen. Who the fuck do I support? Both? I am hoping that Iran keeps up it's excellent game of chess because it is our only hope. And you better all hope (and those of you so inclined, pray) that the attack does not happen because the outcome is sure to be very bad for the world. Gung Ho Americans better check their pride at the door for the sake of humanity and their children, fuck pride, we lost already and we are the last ones to know it! And angry Muslims better also check their anger, and not act in haste, because they also have children. Sorry for me being a softie about children, but most of you are young guys here. I have a kid that I love more than life, and I want to see him grow up. If anything ever happened to him, you can bet you would see a different side of me. I don't think I would even recognize myself.
