Anti-Neocons

Posted this to Mike Rivero. Thought I might this for your personal opinions:

His obvious ignorance towards current events such as the Arab Spring & Israel occupation of Palestine

His indirect support of fascists & extreme right wing through the likes of Pat Condell

His sexist attitude towards women atheists & skeptics such as Rebecca Watsons, insulting them for daring to question the inherent sexism within the mainstream atheist community

His support of New College of Humanities which is really nothing but a high price name-endorsed only "shell college"

No one gives a shit about Richard Dawkins. Atheism doesn't have nor need leaders. No one has to reinforce my lack of believe in leprechauns and fairies. Dawkin's political views are his own stupid political views it has nothing to do with not believing in god. Hitches was a drunk and a warmongering ass hole too. I left the foundation of the Rational Response Squad because Hitchen was in it. Politics is a lot more complicated than Religion. It doesn't take more intellect than a five year old to know religion is bullshit. Bravo ya don't believe in magical creatures a creator and magic after life in invisible places. Want a cookie?

These people think of themselves as real big and as great debaters because they are always engaging with child like adults that believe in fairy tales. It's easy to rip that crap apart. The Bible and Qurran are completely insane and contradictory. That doesn't make one some kind of political know it all just because they know how to trounce a religious nut. Sure some great minds have been atheist, Plank, Einstein, etc but that doesn't mean being an atheist even a really forward one makes you a great mind. Politics isn't science. Atheism isn't science either though they overlap you could be a philosophical atheist without any of the findings of modern science as all the historical atheist would have had to have been and were.

Have you ever heard anyone on this forum say a kind word about Dawkins? Or even bring him up at all? He's completely irrelevant. Its a Zoologist with a British accent wowing 20 something year olds at backwater colleges on a no shit issue. So what is your point in posting this crap here? No one gives a damn about Richard Dawkin's political views. It be as silly as asking Ron Paul about phylogenetics.

I like Dawkins for his books on science/evolution. I don't read his material for political views.

It just pissed me off that anyone would be ignorant enough to think atheists would follow someone else just because they're atheist too much less follow them on their political views lol. Fuck Dawkins. Im not reading his books because I already don't believe in god and think its a no shit issue that needs no explaining and politically he's completely lost.

Atheism isn't political. Not believing in magic fairies doesn't mean anything politically besides not being insane. It's about as relevant as what kind of music you like. Science in our society has a lot of sway. People look at scientist like they must know everything about anything. Well Politics is not science. Its much more holistic thinking and requires a vast knowledge of history and economics. I love science but what some guy who happens to be a scientist says about government is no more impressive to me than what a dentist has to say about building trains.
