I just had a short convo with my mom about Obama,Palin, McCain and politics in general. The amount of stupidity coming out of her mouth was awe inspiring, I love my mom but its like she turns into another person when discussing politics. She asserted that Bush went into Iraq to get revenge on Saddam for wanting to murder his dad, she claimed that Obama is not really to blame for his broken promises because "he owes favors to the people who got him elected". She also went on how Obama was the lesser of the two evils in 08 because Palin is not articulate and has a "hick" family. I could on but I really don't feel like it. I actually feel ashamed to be my parents son. Neither of my parents get it. They are typical American sheeple.

it's just like religion, no matter what he does they have an excuse for it. The republicand have not made him do anything. He voted to fund the war when he was a senastor and he voted to keep the patriot act and he voted for the bailouts and to put sanctions on Iran. He is not being blocked by anyone, he isn:t even trying to end the wars. He trying to make them larger. He invaded libya while congress was out of session. He could have ended the war in Iraqt the public was behind him, but he didn't and he would not end gitmo either. And everyone should have known that based on his senate record. JUDGE A MAN BY WHAT HE DOES NOT WHAT HE SAYS.

She doesn't get "out" much but she did see Russo's America: Freedom to Fascism when it was first shown in theaters and many other films on DVD, eagerly attended a G. Edward Griffin presentation, keeps "Creature..." handy in the pile of books by her bed, attended Ron Paul meetup group meetings, and still has Ron Paul '08 bumper stickers on her car. However, she is unable to communicate with her peers because she says they are to scared to talk outside of an occasional whisper.

My mom voted for the asshole that just got a majority government here in Canada because 40% of the (aging) population voted for him and the remaining 60% split their fucking votes all over the place. I asked her why she thought it was okay that he was spending her tax dollars on war planes. She said "if we didn't go into the war in WW2 then we would all be speaking German today". What the fuck does one say to that crap? And most people that I talk to in Canada like Obama and think that he is the lesser of two evils. And everyone was talking about how great it was that "they" finally got Osama.

Hitler alo had the means to invade and conquer European nations. Libya and Iraq can not even reach that far, in fact the only way they can kill americans or canadians is if you go to them. We are Germany in this analogy.

I find it odd that so many presidents have such odd personal stories, as if they were bred to be president. Nevermind. Anyways, I dunno what to believe. Part of me agrees with the worse than Bush third term, part of me thinks the president of the USA is merely a ceremonial position without real power. Sometimes it looks like Obama might be trying, but he is all talk and no power. I'll vote for Dr. Paul no matter what and pray to whatever god exists that he becomes the Republican candidate (he has a good chance IMHO), but still I fear even he would be powerless. It's not just the zio-con lobby, but the Saudi lobby among many other forces at play like George Soros. Like one big game of chess but a real life version.
oh well
So since Obama used a robot pen on the patriot act, constitutionally (not that it matters any more) is that even legal?
