Can you give an example of the BS you're talking about?

That's why I said "most" instead of "all".

How so?

I haven’t seen anyone on this site defend religion. Most atheist stop debating with y’all cause its hard to reason with someone who has imaginary friends and believes in flying ponies, talking snakes etc

People on this site who believe in a religion are likely to defend it. No one defends religion in general. People just defend their own religion. It's actually hard to try and make someone think like you, if they've already established their own way of thinking and find nothing wrong with it. It has nothing to do with whether people believe in an unseen reality or not.

Honor killings happen in india, pakistan and yes also america. They just happen all over the world. They are not religion related. They almost always stun everybody involved. This might surprise but they are related to..honor.

Majority of "honor killings" are in the Middle East, south East Asia and Africa.
(just google the stats)

No the majority are not related to honor the majority are related to what some view as sexual misconduct such as divorce or even the rape of a woman. The women are considered to bring dishonor to their family in both those cases.

Witches aren’t the only people the backwards folks are burning. Burning people alive is also another practice of "honor killing". Here is one story: http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl= ... start%3D80

Personally, I’m just waiting for the at home abortions kit. I think they charge too much and make it too difficult for women to get one. Alex Jones claims that the govt is trying kill off its people, just stop them from ever being born and you dont need chemtrails. Fucken illuminati need to make it easier for irresponsible murderers like myself.

Wearing hijab isn't oppressive either since they wear it by choice.

you reckon?

in places like iran and saudi they have "morality cops" arresting women for showing a bit of ankle. Do you think such fucked up cops would exist if most women wore it by choice?

the headscarf/jilbab is by far the most ugliest and most uncomfortable attire ever invented, seriously how many women do you think choose to wear it? from my experience most are forced and behind their parents back wear what they want. i use to have arguments that lasted for up to 4 hours because i did not want to wear the headscarf, and that was on top of the usual arguments families have. A couple a weeks ago i was going to the job centre, my dad was going to the same place, he refused to walk with me and went a different route because i did not wear a headscarf, even though i must have told him a thousand times i am an atheist.

Why shouldn't people hold islam responsible for honour killings? it mostly happens in their communities. Its a bit naive to say "they happen all over the world" while ignoring the fact that honour killings in the west are carried out by immigrants/ethnic minorities who are almost always muslims. I don't know any freshy immigrant imam that has ever condemned honour killings, and i doubt you do either.

I consider judaism responsible for zionism even though not all jews are zionists. I see no reason why people should not see islam responsible for honour killings. These people that carry out such atrocious crimes cite islam as a justification. And the punishment for adultery in islam is stoning to death. For sex before marriage it is 100 lashes. I'm sure the muslim members have read about it so i won't bother quoting the scriptures. I can see why so many muslims think that honour killings are ok, a 100 lashes is enough to kill a person or cause severe injury for life.

turkey is a secular country where many muslims drink alcohol and eat pork and shit like honour killings are the norm. its beyond belief :o

My mother wears a headscarf by choice, however she raised me and my sister with the understanding that it was our own decision. Neither of us chooses to wear one.

I've always thought it was a kind of hypocrisy to wear one when the rest of the package doesn't follow, especially the inside. My older sister married young and a lot of holier than thou tongues moved hypothesizing what for. Too bad a hijab wouldn't cover up those women's inner ugliness. To my mom's credit her headscarf doesn't contradict her.
