Russia is ready to provide financial support to Palestine, Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said. Lavrov made the announcement at a meeting with President of the Palestinian National Authority Mahmoud Abbas in Moscow. Lavrov also said that Russia was fully supportive of Abbas's Middle East policy.

what does this mean really? I took it to mean Russia was going to host a peace talk and the Palistinian leader was going to ask the israelie settlements (theft of land by force) stop. Russia will also trade with Palistine. It sounds good but Russia needs to enforce the no more settlements or racial colonies of Jews on land taken by force of Army vs civilians. When the civilians organize any kind of resistance or retaliation they are branded terrorists. The West will always support Israel because the entire VP office is ful of Issraelies. About the only country capable of standing up tp Israel and the US is Russia. England is powerful but they are just like the US with Israel. Will anyone else back up Russia? With another big country like Germany or even France joined Russia in putting pressure to end the settlements it might happen. Canada is to chicken to go against the US. They have a mighty military and trade influence as well.

I think Iran, Venezuela, and maybe Lybia will side with Russia. A big one which is possible which would be huge would be Japan.

To me it feels like the world wall of silence is finally breaking apart which as we know is long overdue. I'm tired/exasperated that most of the people in my life go about the daily business of their lives like nothing anywhere else matters. Most of these individuals don't think they matter, that what they do doesn't matter, but we all matter because we're all connected. I feel a small shard of optimism that things could change for the better for real people in our lifetime upon hearing a big voice like Russia speak up. Maybe that will lend courage to some or shame others into finding their voice. We here on the ground floor just have to keep with knocking the dominoes forward.
