It's not just a protest vote. It's a total vote of no confidence in the system. It's an attempt to change the system. The more people who realize the futility of the false partisan split, the more we've matured as a citizenship.
I don't care what McCain or Obama have said. They both vote too identical for me to think it will make any difference which one was in office. Presidential candidates lie their way in office, and then do what their told. As they are both just reps for the exact same companies, but playing under a different sports team banner, the only thing I see swaying people one way or the other is emotion, just like any other sport. People have emotional connections to one football team or the other, and people have emotional connections to either democrats or republicans, regardless of how exactly the same they are. If the democrats were going to do anything different than the republicans, the "democrat controlled congress" would have stopped the republican agenda.
At the federal level, voting for the red rep or the blue rep just has nothing to do with change. However, voting for just about anyone else is very much about change.
I respect that. They dont vote identical though both records are available online and in great detail as well. The fact is no one know that much about Obama he is pretty new. We do know a lot about McCain. Again, do what you feel is the best thing and I will as well.
