Not really Lots of countries play cricket , and it aint easy to play under warm condition (trust me). The Test matches and the one days are a joke but this 20/20 is the best.

most sports other than cricket require a lot more energy. It was started as a summer sport in England. I know other countries play cricket but the good teams are India, Pakistan, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, West Indies, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, literally all places which were under British colonial rule.

The reason the US and Canada have football (american football) is because their schools have enopugh money to play and donnors donate to football and not the schools themselves.

Soccer on the other hand is cheap as shit all you need is a ball and two makeshift goals. It's also very easy to understand. Kick the ball in the other goal dont use your hands and dont go offsides thats basically it. Football has a book full of rules and volumes of plays.

Poor countries can't play football for the same reason that poor schools in America can't play. The equiptment is too exspensive and without John Maddon most beginning fans can't figure out the game.

But everyone can play soccer. however in the US soccer is during football season. Football is a contact sport and soccer is not (not like football) so nobody watches soccer. It's like going to the races with no crashes. boring.

soccer isn't even on TV in the US and its considered a girls sport or people too little to play football.
