I think trying to figure out the details is dangerous. Too easy to disprove. Could be right, but they were most likely simply batteries. I would be more interested to learn how accessible the core supports were in the finished building. Would it even be possible to place charges on the supports, or were they encased in fireproofing, shaftwall, concrete, interior framing, and the like? Were they accessible from the elevator shafts. We need a blueprint to the building, I could tell from that, I used to work in commercial construction. Now what did interest me in the article you linked is the computer floor. I know about those. Lots of space down there and room to conceal lots of stuff. I think the building would have to have been brought down by a high quantity of small shaped charges placed on supporting members directly, and not a mass of explosives that were not touching supports. If banks of "batteries" were actually explosives and went off, we would have seen a huge fireball or flash emerge from the building at the time of collapse. I don't think it was that. I think it was either shaped charges places on supporting members, or jet fuel that weakened the structure.
