Yeah Ry is right and I agree with him 100% Obama is going to win, there's no stopping that now. All these teens and young adults have from here until December to register for the general election and they will. Many of them showed up to vote for Obama during the primaries but were turned away. However, they will register Democrat, believe me. The problem that faces McCain is that his voter base is made up of really REALLY old people. NO ONE is registering Republican to vote for McCain. It's just not happening. Because his voters are so old a lot of them might actually die before the general election.

Obama is the media darling just like Clinton. Bush was even a media darling to an extent they were just jealous of how much money he was making and the fact that he got his way all the time. Saying that "McCain will beat Obama" is like saying "Dole will beat Clinton" and as we all know it didn't happen.

I would prefer Obama to win. I will always take the bolshevik over the gestapo.

You mean this?

Quote:
KING: Do you have a favorite between the two, the two Democrats?

LAURA BUSH: My favorite is the Republican.

KING (pointing to Jenna): Yours too, I would imagine.

JENNA BUSH: I don't know.

KING: A-ha! Are you open to...

JENNA BUSH: Yeah, of course. I mean, who isn't open to learning about the candidates and I'm sure that everybody's like that.

Idk, doesn't sound like much of an endorsement to me. Hardly proves anything, other than the Bush family is dumb as dog shit. Look how Laura just said "My favorite is the Republican." She prolly doesn't even know who the party nominated

And, no offense, but if you think the only people voting for McCain is really old people who will probably die before November then you must be tragically young. First rodeo, I reckon.

If you base your judgement on visible support, then yes, it looks like Obama is basically the next president. There's signs everywhere and you see tons of young people wearing t-shirts and shit and they're always talking about him.

But let us remember what the Iowa roadsides looked like in January. Or the highways along the upper East Coast..

Ron Paul was everywhere. EVERYWHERE. How'd he do in the primaries?

It's not old people voting for McCain, it's silent people.

Well what you're saying as far and Jenna Bush is true to an extent. But it's not like she instantly blurted out "MCCAIN!!! MCCAIN!!!" as soon as she was asked who she'd vote for.

And you're somewhat right about McCain's supporters to. They are "silent" as you put it. There are people out there who will ALWAYS VOTE FOR THE republican. The increasing problem for the republican party though is that this is not as many people as you might think. Why believe me? Well, I live in an area with the highest concentration of GOP voters in the entire U.S.

Ron Paul did rather well here. There is a resurgence of the anti-war movement among the GOP. This was brought about by Ron Paul and his grassroots effort. Hopefully it will continue. But as I said you are right to an extent there will always be this hardcore group that always sides with the GOP on EVERYTHING. As I said though it's not as many people as the media would like you to believe.

I doubt the media campaign is to get him to lose; he is not easy to beat because he is Muslim/has middle name Hussein, etc, those are things they used against him and that he could easily get over.

The fact that they're advertising him so much now means he gains credibility; as such, even if they turn on him people will still support him because of the media backing he has currently. Plus, in the states where it matters any attacks on Obama for his ethnicity will probably not be well accepted especially now that he is very prominent.

On another note...didn't Obama once upon a time support the Palestinians? I mean, he also co-sponsored legislation to fucking starve them, but once upon a time...

The Muslim allegations aren't hurting him with Democratic primary voters but they sure as hell will hurt him with general election voters, as well as his association with Rev Wright, and his liberal "elitist" views. The media knows this, that's why they ran the Wright sermon in a never ending loop.

and yeah Obama did support Palestine before he starting running for the senate.

Haha why did I know something like that was coming?

We also have to remember that along with the "anti-gay" card that Bush also rigged the Ohio votes to ensure his victory over Kerry. Kerry didn't put up a fight about the vote rigging probably because they were both skull and bones. It really wouldn't have mattered who won. That's why I was rooting for Badnarik. Kerry talked about ending the Iraq war but then again so did Bush early on in his presidency. Kerry DID NOT have even the slightest plan for bringing the troops home and he couldn't say when they'd be coming home. Kerry and Bush were identical. Kerry was playing a role or a part or whatever you want to call it. He was the fake anti-war democratic candidate.

I remember a few years back when Obama gave the Democratic response to Bush's state of the union speach. I thought "this is their guy", "this is who they'll run next time". And they have. Obama is indestructible, he's untouchable. We need to keep something very important in mind; the media has yet to attack McCain and we all know they eventually will. Yes, they've attacked Hillary and somewhat Obama but never McCain. It's coming and McCain will be very embarrassed. In short John McCain is being set up to ensure a democrat wins the presidency.
