When I ran for North Carolina House back in 2000, a large part of my campaign platform was on the de-criminalization of cannabis and introducing Medicinal and Industrial cannabis production to North Carolina. . . . as well as de-criminalizing personal use cultivation.

My argument was that the once famous North Carolina Textile industry (Hanes, Burlington Mills, Cone, etc) had all been off-shored to Mexico, India and China under the banner of
"Global Economy" . . .

. . . while the once famous North Carolina Tobacco Industry was being destroyed because people were learning what the Tobacco Industry was based on.

If we in North Carolina led the way, we would not only save the Textile Industry, but could redeem the Tobacco Industry with the Cannabis Industry and save a ton of family farms.

I challenged that North Carolina could be the litmus test like Portugal and The Netherlands to PROVE that the "Reefer Madness" type Cannabis "scientific research" was bad science and propaganda to further other agendas . . .

. . . and that the kidz in North Carolina would be a lot better off smoking a "joint" than risking falling down the hole with legal cigarettes and alcohol.

Of course, I was flooded with death threats 24x7 for "wanting to turn all our children into Heroin addicts . . . because Marijuana (Hearst Public Relations Propaganda Name) is a GATEWAY drug and they've done research to prove it." . . .

. . . especially from all the "Mothers Against . . ." groups and the church groups. . .

I would just say that I found it curious that in addition to the U.S. Constitution prohibiting any type of "prohibition" without Constitutional Amendment, in the very FIRST chapter in the very first book of the Bible it clearly states:



Personally, I have always viewed cannabis in the same league with the "Peanut" plant . . .
. . . a zillion and one uses with minimal negative factors.

I wish Russia all the luck in the world in this venture!!! . . .
