No, China disgusts me. They're blatant disregard for human rights (Tibet), no animal rights laws at all (dog and cat meat markets) as well as tyrannical Communist government and brutal treatment of workers there is enough for me to not like them.

After looking into the Tibet thing it seems Tibet equals China.
I don’t care for the dog /cat market either.
I don’t know about the treatment of workers. I do know the US will soon depend on China even more than it has in the past. We owe more money to China then any other country. I like the people from China. One of my very dear friends is from China. He said he saw the dogs and cats dead in the market place.
Im netural on this topic.

its never good to generalize. i know many good, honest chinese people. i have had multiple cats since i was a baby but i still dont care if these people eat cats and dogs. that's their way of life, we dont have a say in it unless their government attacks human rights.

China has told the US to stabilise its economy in a sign that the emerging economic power is ready to challenge the established order.

The call came at high level meetings between US and Chinese finance officials in Bejing.

The US is far more used to giving lectures to foreign powers on economic policy than it is on receiving them.

China also called on the US to boost its savings rate and to protect Chinese assets and investments in the US.

China's central bank governor, Zhou Xiaochuan, told US officials that: "Over-consumption and a high reliance on credit is the cause of the US financial crisis.

He also said the US needed to "take the initiative... and reduce its trade and fiscal deficits."

The Chinese economy is growing at around 9% a year, whereas the US economy is in recession.

It simple really.

US banks create money in the form of loans. People spent too much on houses because interest rates were low and they borrowed to much. Banks also loaned to much. Now the banks collect plus interest. People lose money banks can't even get all of it so the government pays the rest of it thus taking money from responsible people too. Less money is in the money supply. People can spend. Businesses tank. Workers get laid off. So people spend even less and more business fail. Banks loan more money, people spend again but go into debt. All the money out there is actually debt its all IOUs. The US is not making anything or selling anything.

Best way to get interest free money back into the money supply is to make a giant tax cut and avoid all bail outs and end the fucking war saving trillions. If trillions were released in tax cuts then spending would rise businesses would flurish again and the US would have to do some manufacturing.

As it is now the US just borrows from China and Japan and has no means or plans of paying it back. It sucks for Japan because as Americans go broke Japan loses much of its buyers. So it's up to communist China and the US is becoming more and more Communist by day as well.
