Wiki screws up again

So I decided to look up the Island from which I was born.

Wiki has the wrong island. They place Croatoan NEAR Hatteras Island (they also claim it is an island) when in fact Croatoan IS on Hatteras Island. Here is a map.


See that Croatoan is Hatteras Island. Manteo or Roanoke -(old name)

In fact the Native American Manteo for which that island in named after was born on Hatteras Island. He went to England with Sir Walter Raleigh whom the capital of the state is named after. Native Americans were named several different ways, after their cities (like saying Perisians) after their own names (what they called themselves) or after what they were called by a near by tribe that spoke a different language (like the Dine being called Navajo). Croatoan was the town, Hatterask were the Native people however Croatoaners (to anglofy it) would also be Hatterask "Indians.' And the Island named after the people there is Cape Hatteras. The new town now sitting on Croatoan is Buxton. -ton being English of course. North of Buxton was Kinnakeet now changed to Avon and South of Buxton was Trent now called Frisco. (Kinnakeets were also a band) family-band-clan-tribe-nation that's the order.

This is very well documented stuff here but apparently Wiki can't tell its ass from its elbow again.

Maybe they should let me edit it. ha ha no way. I would not do it either the site is crap and beyond repair. I looked up only 6 things in the past two days and 3 had huge mistakes.

Wikipedia may not be perfect, which only means that more editing and better supervision is necessary and of course, it's okay to criticize that.

But then at least make sure that your own words don't look ridiculous, because the first poster, Ry, has to get his English right, before he complains about others:

Backfires is ONE WORD, it's not back fires.
Inaccurate is again ONE WORD and not in accurate.

So how accurate is Ry? It's okay to laugh, people! I think, it just backfired (or back fired, Ry?) on you...

hey there slick, I am not and do not claim to be an encyclopedia. You have one post and we know you're from wiki you would have had to scour over the first post to look for a mistake just to write about it. I always make mistakes, I dont have any editors unlike wiki, and I live in Japan ps. Saying back fire instead of backfire (whuppy do) is not the same as and is no where near as bad as objectively writing about a company and saying "so and so company is a piece of crap" or omitting that a famous criminal was in the Mossad or Writing the wrong person's name as a bomber in a well know historical event where google links right under it go to books written on the same thing which have the correct people's names and it is not just politics it is also geography wiki was putting a place on the wrong fucking island and then inventing a new island that does not even exist and placing it there. And it does not make me look ridiculous to say backfire instead of back fire, it just makes you look anal retentive.

No one is laughing at my typo no one cares but you. How accurate is Ry? Well Ry is right in the content of what he posted which was showing how lame wiki is and how full of disinformation it is. And how little maturity it has.

I am just going to keep looking things up on wiki now and I will keep posting them here. I find mistakes in almost everything I look up.

Ry was accurate about the whole Libby affair, the Iraq War, the WMD claims, the AIPAC scandal, the Hariri murder, Litiveneko etc. You can stick it.

Aaron, there's really no point in editing some thing zionist related because they'll just re-edit it right after and then probably lock it. These people are such losers, they dedicate so much time to pro-Zionizing Wikipedia. I like Wikipedia for anything non Israel related but I'd still like to see it shut down.
