Tepco (Tokyo Electric Power) is asking for a trillion yen (12 billion dollars) from the government (aka form the tax payers). This is because they can't stay solvent without it since they were forced to pay victims of Fukushima so much in compensation. So they want they need a government bail out, but that's not what these lying bitches say. They paint it like we these billions of dollar to help pay the victims of the tsunami. But waits its not for the victims at all. TEPCO already paid the victims. This money is to pay for them paying for it, aka pass it over and make the tax payers pay for it and bail TEPCO out. Oddly Private donation mostly for other areas in Japan but also worldwide has been the greater donor. But TEPCO's portion is more a punishment on them than for compensation. Also they fought doing that even. TEPCO didn't want to pay at all. These are the people lying about things as serious as radiation just to save profit losses and face. fuck tepco.

You might ask why is TEPCO responsible for a natural disaster? They aren't. but they are responsible for the piss poor standards and minimal risk prevention measures at the plants. Cost efficiency and safety don't always coincide which is why there is third party regulation, but the regulators also share some blame as the IAEA was off looking for mythical nuclear weapons in Iran instead of doing their JOB inspecting known nuclear plants. Ultimately if the government stay out of it the market will be the final regulator as TEPCO will go under and rightly so.

hang a sign in you window that says TEPCO is AHOU. its a very bad term Japanese people will know your neighbors will not.
