Males certainly murder and rape more. I wouldn't say they shop lift more or at least with not as much of a gap. But we are talking about ZERO looting at all. Eating tofu doesn't account for it. There were men and women looting in New Orleans, even kids. You can bet if it was in Thailand or Vietnam there would have been some looting as well.

This was more likely cultural. Even the mafia was helping with aid.

Men have invented more things and discovered more things but some of that is due to not having children. Since contraception women have evened out much more in professions and scientific, legal, medical, innovations. But it's still a very lopsidedly male world especially in things like engineering, philosophy, and finance. It's only been about 60 years though. The gap should narrow some more. Same for child raising dads, a minority but growing. It used to be there weren't any male kindergarten or preschool teachers. Now there are.
