Che Guevara Birthday Gala in Cuba

Havana, Jun 13 (Prensa Latina) A cultural gala on occasion of the 80th birthday of commander Che Guevara will be held Friday in this capital, with the premiere of a symphonic work by maestro Jose Maria Vitier dedicated to the legendary revolutionary.

"El cantar del caballero y su Destino" will be presented for the first time at Karl Marx Theater, with the performance of the National Symphonic Orchestra, the National and Exaudi choir, Soprano Barbara Yanez and a Spanish tenor.

Cuban television will broadcast this important act live, showing images, some of them unpublished, on the Heroic Guerrilla, and reaffirming Che's revolutionary greatness and humanism.

Over 4,000 are expected to attend the activity. Image
