1:30 into that is awesome. What is sad is how everytime Lincoln broke the constitution people make an excuse for him. Like they excuse Sherman's total war saying it helped to win. What did they win? It is no different than me beating someone with a baseball bat to death and taking his wallet. Then justifying what I did by saying well it worked I got his wallet. Sherman's genocide on the indians after the war worked to get a railroad bullt but at what cost? His scorched earth policy 'worked' at the cost of 50,000 civilian lives to collect Lincoln's tariffs.

Can I get a list of sources for this man? This is the era we are studying in class. I am studying history II 1302 and I refuse to write an essay just on the textbook because that's passing along ignorance assuming the words that this man is saying are true. There have been many times where in class the instructor has very firmly impressed his beliefs supporting the textbook when indeed information from this forum has been sitting in the back of my mind. I want to support a good cause and get this info into my papers (instead of just sitting there with in in my head where no one will see).

look up mike scruggs uncivil war.
Read Lincoln's debates with Douglas. Read his inagural addresses. Lincoln even supported a constitutional ammendment to guarantee slavery. I'll make a list of sources later today for you. Sherman is even worse.

Lincoln was not shot forpissing off international bankers he was a huge supporter of a centralized banking system Lincoln was like Henry Clay only more racist. The original plan was to kidnap him and Seward the sec of state. Seward was stabbed and Lincoln shot. No one liked Licoln. The abolitionists hated him, the South obviously hated him, peace advocates hated him. He had armed guards at the polls threatening peopein 1864 and arrested over 30,000 northerners and put them in jail without trial. He had the army kil 500 civilians in New York to put down a draft riot. The man was scum.
