Is the Iraq War going badly and planned poorly? Ry Dawson Sure IF you assume that all the instability, daily death, loss of hundreds of billions maybe trillions of dollars, thousands of Americans killed, and nothing accomplished, then the war is going badly and was poorly planned. If you think the neocons were sincere in saying they thought it would be a quick war, then they were wrong and it was planned poorly.
However all that is assuming that the aim of the war was to secure Iraq, as if the MIC even cares. Taken from the perceptive that the purpose of the war was to generate contracts, set the US next to Iran, remove a threat to Israel, and act as the stage for the movement of privatizing more military into for profit mercenary groups, and that perpetual low level conflict is intentional (written about prior to the war as a stated goal) and is seen as a good thing (for the war architects) then the war is going perfectly according to plan.
And the media couldn't be any more willing partners, apologist, and propagandist. The Iraq War was superbly planned and executed exactly how they wished. It only looks bad when you assume they give a shit about civilian casualties, lost of American life and money, and stability. They DON'T. They're not incompetent. They're EVIL.
Permanent bases were planned form day one. There was never a second of thought put into allowing Iraq an legitimate independent government. They don't want a secure Iraq because an insecure Iraq means more contracts and more money for the select war/security profiteering corporations involved. They do they opposite in fact, they purposely create instability between Iraqi factions, by favoring one and then the other, paying some off, and attacking different groups disguised as another Iraqi faction to ensure in-fighting for as long as possible.
We aren't trying to "win." Those conditions haven't even been defined. "Winning" as far as the MIC is concerned is to stay in Iraq as long as possible and milk the government for every dime it can to occupy and murder people.
There was no exit strategy. Iraq borders Iran a future target. Israel's strategic interests have been met, by interloping them with greedy US corporations' financial interest. So long as they overlap, they benefit from one another. But if the MIC turns on Israel, the press will turn on them, and the war game will be over. And so the media plots the next wars for Israel. It won't be long now before another "terror attack" of magnitude hits the US possibly this Summer before the completely financial meltdown, and allows Israel to invade Lebanon again, and send America against Iran.

I actually hope I am wrong. But things could break out in Pakistan and Israel is already doing war games for Lebanon.
