IMHO carter is a wuss, he consistently sided with israel in his book. Compare his work to jews like tanya reinhart, norman finkerlstein and noam chomsky, BIG friggen difference.

Still, I have to give him props for writing this book. I points out a lot of stuff about Israel that most people don't know and wouldn't read from a typical author. The controversy it created was good publicity for the Palestinian struggle, I think. You can't expect everybody to see everything in exactly the same way. Especially when it comes from somebody who used to be president. Can't get any more establishment that that! Even Bush had some positive things to say about the Palestinian situation, and while we know there's an alterior motive, I will still use his words against his supporters at every opportune time. Use what info you can, it's all usefull in it's right place.
