This case is far more important than blowing the cover of an undercover CIA agent. You have to ask, why was her cover blown. The answer is simple. But first some background.
Lord Bush and his merry band of Zionists have a group called the OSP the Office of Special Plans. It is also sometimes called the Office of Special Councils. The OSP was embedded in the DOD (department of defense).
A list of the culprits is below. The purpose of the OSP was to make a case for a war against Iraq. They were to use scare tactics and lies to achieve these ends.
Because it is a logical fallacy to try and disprove a negative, the WMD claim was a great myth. It could be later said after the war, that it was a "mistake" rather than a lie. Also there was no way for Iraq to prove they
didn't have something. That's why the burden of prove is supposed to be on the party making the assertion of a positive not a negative. I don't have to prove unicorns don't exist in Virginia, you would have to prove that they do, the default setting is that they don't until proven otherwise. But with Iraq the default setting was they had WMDs even though no one had ever seen them and there was no physical evidence for them.
Many of the lies the OSP told were about things that could not be disproved only proved. But at one time the OSP actually tried to make physical evidence, not hear say.
The claim was that Saddam was trying to buy yellowcake uranium from Niger to make a nuclear bomb. The proof they wanted to offer was from a
document that they forged between Iraq and Niger for the yellowcake.
Here is where the OSP messed up huge. The fake document that they
forged a signature on was not only a fake, it had the wrong person's name on it. The CIA asked Bush not to include this in his State of the Union address. Because this was proof that 'intelligence' was being fixed, or 'sexed up' as the British papers like to call it.
You can combine that with the DSM which said back in July 23 of 2002 to rig propaganda which would allow public support for a war with Iraq.

Libby is Dick Cheney's chief of staff and an OSP member. It turns out in the scandal with Karl Rove and Valerie Plame that Judith Miller's source for the CIA agents name was Libby.
She went to jail rather than give up her source of a man who purposely leaked info about the CIA agent to blow her cover.
WHY? Well Plame's husband Joe Wilson was being critical about the evOIL empire's claims on WMDs especially the uranium. But it was about more than bitter revenge. Plame (as an clandestine agent) was in a position to uncover who forged the Niger Documents. They had to get rid of her.
Lord Bush included the Saddam is building a nuke lies in his State of the union address. Which has now become the imfamous 16 words.

For the record the British got their information from the Italians who got it from ... Israel. But that last link in the chain is never mentioned.
This case with Rove, Miller, Libby, and so on, is linked to another scandal in the DOD. The Larry Franklin/AIPAC scandal. Where Israel was using DOD officials to hand over classified information to their Israeli lobby group who then passed it to the Israeli government. Now just how does it all fit together?

Back to Miller why was she in jail for 85 days? She was making a plea bargain. Basically saying the investigation had to be limited so not to spread on into AIPAC and everything explained in the link above. Libby who based on his little love letter to Miller in jail, I believe has a love interest in her and he cracked under the pressure of her being in jail and gave himself up as a source. It was no shocker, I and others (Justin Raimondo) predicted that he was a source over a year ago.
This investigation no matter how dry and boring, is the crak in the Neocon's dam. It will bring the roaches out into the light and expose the OSP and all the LIES they used to foster a war with Iraq as PNAC called for in 1997.
Interestingly the Israeli spy ring this time through AIPAC not the ADL (for once) dates back before September 11 2001 and Mossad agents were living next door to the patsies/terrorists depending on you review of that.
