Italy's foreign minister, Franco Frattini, says the new government of Rome is prepared to adopt a 'very firm' approach toward Tehran.

In an interview with the Financial Times, Frattini criticized his predecessor, Massimo D'Alema, for being 'too late' in understanding the importance of the Iranian nuclear issue.

He said he plans to discuss the 'P5 plus one' stance on Iran with his American counterpart, Condoleezza Rice, at the Paris donors conference on Afghanistan in June.

The five permanent members of the UN Security Council and Germany are trying to pressure Iran into abandoning its uranium enrichment program, which Washington insists is aimed at developing nuclear weaponry.

Tehran, rejecting US allegations, maintains its nuclear drive is solely aimed at producing electricity for its growing population.

"Now Italy will push forward to be really in the club on Iran," Frattini continued.

The Italian minister went on to say that under the rule of the new center-right government, Rome seeks to become a facilitator between Iran and the United States to conduct dialogue between the two countries.

Great. What the fuck happened to Europe, anyway? I mean, we used to get some opposition from France and Italy and Germany. Weren't Spain and England the only repectable(no offense, Estonia) members of the "coalition of the willing?"

fuckin Italians anyway..

their government is occupied by zionists, just like ours.....

and opposition from germany? :o i thought they felt too guilty to criticise israel. i heard on the forum that if they speak up about israel they are sent to jail.

as for coalition of the willing, i don't see how that has anything to do with palestine?

France24 coverage of the gazan crises is way better then the BBC's IMO.

and whats wrong with estonia?

there still is plenty of opposition in Europe -- it's just not represented in government.

Jacques Chirac was against the Iraq war simply because he saw there was no evidence for the claims they were making to justify it. Then Zionist Sarkozy became president. Makes you think the outcome of that election was managed well, just seems too prefect to have a more honest guy like Chirac suddenly leave (and of course he was proved right for his scpeticism over Iraq) and replaced with a zionist just in time to pressure Iran.

By "we" I mean America. Of course you can very easily cluster us in with the Israelis because, as we're all well aware, we're practically the same country :(

And I believe that it's America that's vocally leading the international call for sanctions, etc against Iran. Even if we're just doing what Israel tells us..

And I didin't mean to imply Estonia wasn't a respectable country. It just has perhaps less influence then some of the traditional European powers. Not that that's a bad thing, of course.

Are you Estonian, Exquisite? :)

J/k...

And good point about Germans. I do believe they have laws against questioning the holocaust and soe other similar things.

Fuck this. Lately I've been thinking the Italian mafia has really close ties to the Zionists. The way they infiltrated the NYPD pre-9/11 etc. I used to watch the Sopranos and I guess that's what gave me the idea. They were always giving this Jewish guy money and he was laundering for Tony. It doesn't surprise me that Italy would back Israel on the Iran issue but it's still none the less concerning. Now the U.S. and Israel (probably with the help of others) will just go to every single country on earth and try to get them to support the Iran war resolutions. And eventually foreign troops to fight in Iran. This is the problem with the U.N. and why I've always been against it.

One of my favorite gangsters of all time was Jewish, actually.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meyer_Lansky

I wouldn't put it past them.

EDIT:

Actually, as I prod around on wiki a bit more, it looks like The Commission was made up primarily of Jewish and Italian mobsters from NYC. I knew that Meyer Lansky, Lucky Luchiano, Frank Costello, and Bugsy Seigel were kind of the founders of the prohibition-era crime syndicate, but it never occurred to me that it was an alliance of Ashkenazi Jews and two Sicilians.

Not saying that this proves anything, it's just interesting :)
