I remember thinking it would happen as early as 2005. As it so happens, they did attempt an FF with a nuclear terror drill in August I believe, which they had originally intended to go live. However, someone blew the whistle, and it got cancelled.

Then in 2006, Israel invaded Lebanon, which they had hoped would have become a regional war. However, that didn't quite go as they'd hoped, so it got cancelled.

In 2007, we had all that funny business at sea, such as those captured British soldiers by Iran, and other such things to goad them into doing something. Iran, however, didn't quite take the bait like they'd hoped. I think there was also another nuclear FF planned as well, but again, someone blew the whistle.

Now here we are in 2008, and they're already attempting a false pretense like they did with Iraq, before invading. However, this time they're accusing Iran of waging a proxy-war against them in Iraq.

So, I don't think it's quite fair to say that nothing has happened. Things have happened, they just haven't been successful.

Yeah, I've seen a few feasible predictions with well-substantiated reasons to believe a certain date was likely for attack.

No one has a crystal ball for this sort of thing, obviously.

If I were a betting man, though - I'd say the NeoCons will figure out a way to make it happen eventually.

Here's a pretty decent vid on the subject. The analyst calls out the Pro-Israeli lobby as a force behind the drive on Iran. He also talks about how stupid it would be for the US to invade Iran (like on this thread), but we weren't really prepared for an invasion into Iraq either and that didn't stop the NeoCons.

The dollar will crash hard with no rebound and within a week they'll be in iran. Also with food prices rising (which is by design, Monsanto steps in with their single harvest seeds, anyone remember the seed vaults in finland?) unrest is a good feeding ground for violence. The world will be redefined and remapped, the US on top and millions maybe billions dead. The rest enslaved and on food stamps.
