Factions in US and Israeli political circles have trapped Iran in an impossible ultimatum. They have to prove a negative or there will be war.

Right now Iran is in the position of proving a negative. That is something religious people do they say prove god doesn't exist. It's as silly as saying prove unicorns don't exist. Well how is Iran supposed to prove they are not making WMDs anymore than Iraq could prove they were NOT doing something? They've been inspected over and over and there is no bomb and no program to make a bomb. Our own intelligence and the Israeli intelligence agree just as they did on Iraq there there is no nuclear threat. Its not the CIA or even the Mossad for once saying Iran is building the bomb. Its people like Harris and others in the Neoconvservative media the Likudniks, the Zionist Israeli-firsters, who are saying Iran is secretly building a bomb. ooga booga.

You could say Iran is building a Death star. Yes like from Star wars. There is no evidence for it. But so what? They can't prove they aren't building a death star for there is no criteria other than there not being any evidence FOR them building one to show that they are not building one.

If you are really worried about non proliferation then why haven't the people in out own government like Marc Grossman who outed Brewster Jenning and Associates the front for the CIA agents who work in our non-proliferation wing in the CIA been investigated and prosecuted? Instead they guage the whistle blowers! No one in the Plame scandal has gone to jail. And out own government was selling secretes to both Turkey and Israel and even A.Q.Khan.

Why wasn't the Litvinenko death investigated? Here was a guy sneaking radioactive polonium into the UK from abroad. That tied up Russian Oligarch Boris Berezovsky as traces of it were all over his offices and Litvinenko was his employee. This was obviously a botch smuggling operation as the story saying the KGB killed him with a 11 million dollar highly traceable radioactive poison rather than just shooting or stabbing him is almost as silly as saying Saddam was getting yellow cake Uranium from an obsolete foreign minister in Niger.

If you have no idea what I'm talking about then quit getting your news from infowars or TV.

I don't think the problem lies with the above; the rhetoric is no different than during the build up to the invasion of Iraq as you pointed out. The problem lies with the populace, in the US and in the UK.

Almost everyone now understands that the US/UK governments were complicit in implementing intentional regime change in Iraq; drawing on wholly untruthful conclusions to establish and then maintain control.

Also, people did not have to pursue Alternative News websites to find the facts, therefore the reasoning that the majority of people were/are just not aware is unrealistic.

How could we once again reach the stage where a large majority arrive at the same point we have visited before; where we accept accusations and solutions with very little evidence, perhaps with no real evidence at all; and are even being presented with definitive, solid evidence in direct conflict with the so called official evidence?

I think the problem lies in that although almost all people are capable of recognising a scam; and that they are fully aware there has been a scam ; they can only recognise scams in a purely external sense and not internally.

Because although the people now accept that Iraq was a scam, they have not accepted that there was a scammer (multiple governments) and that it was actually they personally who were the victim of the scam.

This is a major barrier in accepting they were wrong about Iraq. In order to save face, the acceptance of the scam is externalised. It is accepted it was a scam, but it is almost as if the scam inexplicably materialised from nowhere; that it just happened that way.

There is no acceptance by the majority of both populaces of being wrong, there is no acceptance of any personal responsibility for supporting the innocent loss of life, there is no process of self-analysis (because they haven’t accepted they were scammed and made to look like fucking idiots by their governments), so there is no adjustment to; or improvement in their armour.

Now the same faces are presenting the same manipulations, using the same verbiage, hook-lines, cheap emotive innuendo and hyperbole; and because the holes in the armour have not been addressed, the same people are falling for the same manipulations again. People are saying ‘Ok Iraq was a scam but I really believe Iran is making nuclear weapons’ but when you dig just a little below the surface, you find the reasoning behind this conclusion has actually less weight than that of the Iraq-WMD reasoning.

People still cannot face the truth, this is the main problem; as truth undermines not only their stability and security on a personal level; it prevents them from recognising the real nature behind the scam; let alone the horrendous implications of a strike against Iran.

It doesn't really matter what the mainstream media; or rogue alternative news outlets put out; The ego, will not allow the majority to accept, that their beloved leaders and the psychotic philosophy of what is ‘right‘ to protect ourselves were wrong; nothing more than a sleight of hand which yanked at certain emotional levers and cynically manipulated inherent racism.

The majority will unfortunately continue to allow psychopaths to run the show.
