what does anyone think about that theory that we are in virtual reality program that is designed in the future coz in the future there would be computers so advanced they could make it happen..(basicly like a matrix)?saw michio kaku talkin about it on tv a while back... :?

I think that would be pretty cool. Strange but still a neat idea.

Fascinating but pointless. Because if we were, we still have a great deal of physics discovery before we break the system as it is still clearly beyond our comprehension.

Back to the big bang... The only problem I have with it is that theories lead to much to the big bang being THE beginning. I really don't jive with that because the entire mental fucking I get from trying to fathom why anything exists forces me into the solace of infinity just to keep from losing my mind. So I'm lead to believe that everything has always existed. I know that big bang + big crunch allows a cycle. It's when people disregard big bang as just another part of the cycle that really gets to me.

All I know is that the theory works REAL good when locating objects in space. Gravity is also a theory that works well for the world of of the very large. So I agree w/it until presented w/a better idea.

the big bang theory is religeous (i.e. we all started as one being). It was even developed by a priest, in 1927

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Georges_Lema%C3%AEtre

There are loads of theories around. The most interesting are quite bonkers

eg
Howards Bloom´s Global Brain theory (similar to Jung´s universal conciousness theory)
Amit Goswami´s Self aware universe theory (quantum and meta physics)
Michael Cremo´s Devolusion theory (elements of Vedic stuff here)
Darwin´s own Descent of Man theory, different from his 1853 OofS thesis
Zechariah Sitchin´s alien astronaught theory

etc. I studied this at university decades ago. We have no answers, but I think it lies somewhere in meta-quantum theory.

btw, what is gravity? sure, we know the equasion to calculate it, but why does this exist in the first place? We need a better "string" theory.

I´m reading a book written in 1910 about meta physics right now. Rare and interesting.

oh yes. Gravity doesn´t exist at quantum level. Also, the speed of light is not the limit. For example, both gravitational waves and the connection between correlated particles, which has been proven by the delayed choice experiments, is instantaneus, over huge distances.

Of course

"If quantum theory makes sense, you don´t understand it" I read that quote recently.

Who knows. I "knew", for about 2 hours, while on mushrooms many years ago, but forgot immediately afterwards.

Then mushrooms became against the law, the bastards.
