Today's 2 cents 1 Dear unconditional military spending supporters, spending more money on the military doesn't make it stronger, just more expensive. Plenty of other nations have the same or equivalent toys but not prices. What's the incentive for cost efficiency when the government pays the bill via charging it to the people. (Especially when the same people voting on the money later go work for the companies they awarded it to.) 2 TSA...Dosing millions of Americans with radiation and or strip searching them IS an act of terrorism. It also runs on the guilty until proven innocent axiom. 3 If there really was an Al Qaeda, out to kill Americans motivated by jealous of "freedom" that wanted to lock down the economy, then why hasn't there been a repeat of the DC sniper's tactics? I figure 15 pairs spread around the US doing that would create a complete shut down as it did in Maryland and part of Virgina. 4 How come prescription drugs have commercials? 5 With everything that has been going on recently, and in light of the past winners, shouldn't Gaddafi be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize? I've been talking about that this week with a few people here in Australia and they've said well that's weird why the fuck would they advertise something that you need to study 8 to 10 years for at uni to proscribe on tv. One friend said that the doctors lobby together to get certain pills put on a general list or some shit to get subsidized so they’re proscribed cheaper and more often, I'm not sure about that one though.
