In my mind all the worlds current problems all go back to one issue. Overpopulation. If we had a smaller population , say 500 million people how much easier would it be to educate everyone? to feed everyone? I think with a much smaller population then we have now there would not only be less strain on the planet but with proper leadership and direction the human race could reach heights never possible in todays world.

I am not advocating for genocide, I think the only logical way to lower the population is to have government control reproduction and with how inherently corrupt any government is it does seem fairly impossible.

I know the Utopian society idea has been talked about for thousands of years but honestly how much longer can we continue to have the population grow? If anyone has seen idiocracy you know what I mean.

I don't know, it is quite unrealistic yes but sometimes when I hear AJ talking about the NWO and world government I question if it is such a bad thing, I see so much fucking stupidity all around me I sometimes feel that people don't deserve freedom, We are too fucking stupid

That video was lame and that article was even worse, maybe I read it wrong as I read it quickly but is the author suggesting overpopulation cannot exist because people , through capitalism solve all the worlds problems? if so that is absolutely batshit insane.

Just because in the last couple hundred years some countries way of life has improved does not mean overpopulation cannot exist, half a million people might have to be born to find someone who will one day invent something that improves our way of life. 99.9% of people will be consumers there whole lives, contributing NOTHING but offspring. The lack of education and presence of religion has set the human race back hundreds if not thousands of years! not the lack of capitalism! cmon man!

Religion is inconsequential to the progress of the human race, as progress has occurred, regardless of its presence. It's really the presence of education that matters. Anyone who does work that is in anyway, useful, or beneficial to others besides themselves, is making a contribution. Contributions don't have to necessarily be improvements.

Overpopulation can exist, but it doesn't exist yet. There's currently more than enough arable land to produce food to go around. The problem is mismanagement and corruption, not scarcity.

I think so.

The real question, is at what living standard?

I've read somewhere that the world could sustain 4 billion people at the living standard of the US, 16 billion people at Mexico's living standard, and like 60 billion people at the standard of living in Africa's poorest countries.

Glixxer we more than have the capacity to feed everyone etc. It's not that we don't have enough food water money etc. It's there. The reason for poverty all over the third world isn't from a lack of resources, it's from the IMF, World Bank and Neo-colonial policies. Also Many nation's populations are shrinking not growing. Russia, Japan, Europe etc are all dying faster than they're reproducing.

Plus people are already here 500 million people is an insane number for the earth. You'd have to kill 5.5 BILLION people. Which is worse then 2 or 3 million starving.
