Raised a Catholic, I think? Went to church as a kid. I remember sitting with the other kids in a separate room. Don't remember being molested, one of the few I guess. Can't say when I stopped believing in God, a God. Did I ever believe, I don't know? I do know this:I am a person who wants to do NO HARM to anybody, animal, thing, lawyer whatever. Everybody in the world is allowed to what they want with their own property=body. As long as I don't harm your property=body, vice versa. That's right. Your body is yours and my body is mine, PERIOD. I don't need to be saved, helped, give my self over to a higher power whatever! Am I an Athesis? Why must everything be labeled? I'm a Humanist. There, I'm labeled. Happy?

Well, that's a good thing about the lack of being molested or at least recalling the event.

Grew up in a secular household.. Only went to church on the holidays with other friends of mine when asked. Don't think I ever really believed in the things I was being taught, cause I really never paid that much attention when I was that young. Just liked to eat the free candy, and shoot hoops after service.
As I grew older, and everybody continued to go, I started thinking for myself and asking questions.
When the youth guy, and a couple of parents at the church couldn't answer my questions other than 'it takes faith'.. I quit going.
After studying many religions now, I see its used as an indoctrination tool more than anything and bars no truth at all.
So if you wanna through a label on it, I guess I would be an atheist.

From a scienfitif perspective, our bodies have the same make-up as the earth around you: oxygen, nitrogen, carbon, calcium, magnesium, potassium, etc. We are each responsible for taking care of our own bodies and refrain from harming the bodies of others.

our bodies though made out of matter like everything else are not on loan to us. They are ours. After we die they were ours. Nothing is loaning them to us. They took billions of years to make, each consciousness is attached to form and that form is there's because it actually is them.

Wow! I was a tad bit rude in this thread. I regret some of things I said. Ry wrote: our bodies though made out of matter like everything else are not on loan to us. They are ours. After we die they were ours. Nothing is loaning them to us. They took billions of years to make, each consciousness is attached to form and that form is there's because it actually is them. I also don’t separate form from consciousness. When you die, your bodies’ energy is conserved. I also believe that applies to consciousness since there is no separation between form and consciousness. I don’t define “us and them” though everything is interdependent. Like you said Ryan, it took billions of years to get us where we are now. The reason is we are interconnected. I always say it took billions of years to make this moment but you can apply that to everything.
