Even supposing that interpretation of the Qur'an, it still says nothing about killing women to preserve family honor. Honor killings are only endemic of certain cultures, not necessarily religions. Yazidis in Kurdistan, for example, practice it, while they are against Muslims and Islam.

Zionists and Neocons tend to be either Jews or Christians, and most of the atheists on this forum come from Christian family backgrounds.
Islam doesn't really factor into that equation, so it tends to get little more attention here than any of the other religions like Hinduism, Jainism, Sikhism, etc. How often do you see atheists here talking about those religions?
Plus, it's hard to successfully bash a religion, when a significant number of the people around you believe in it and are competent enough to defend it.
