I just can't really identify with religions that i deem too Utopian.

I dont understand what this means.

I just think its a bit ignorant to sit there and say "there is no god, i know this." That's just an assumption.

I know for fact there is no god ie George Michael is gay. If there was a god, he would be nude in my bed singing 'I want your sex' although 'one more try' is a sexier video of George.

Saying, "it is possible that there is a god," is an assumption. This is why I am not an agnostic and why I find the agnostic viewpoint an illogical contradiction.

I'm not Christian because it is absurd and I am convinced that it takes brain washing, intense ignorance, mental illness, drastic lack of intelligence, or some kind of intellectually unrelated lack of deductive reasoning, to believe in any part of it. Combined with the unacceptable atrocities that it not only supports, cultivates, results in, and literally demands, I don't see how a person even in the stages of doubt could ever sway towards believing in it unless they are completely ignorant of these things.

People can believe and be very intelligent too. They just simply have mistaken the phenomenon with the phenomenology.

There are also groups of believers that are just very scared to die or have had to deal with a lot of suffering. They cant give up the hope of something more afterlife or that there is this non-changing supernatural reality to assist them in their personal struggle.

Extremely intelligent people support really bad government too. Government seems to be the most powerful religion of modern times.
