You'll remember that he got away in Batman Begins. Scare Crow is in Gotham Night in a huge way and continues to fight and allude Batman. It's not until the Dark Knight that Batman finally gets him by jumping down 6 flights of stairs on top of his car. That makes Scare crow go through 3 movies. And since Gotham night in 6 movies in one it's really 8 movies he makes it through.

You'll see what happened to the escaped inmates of Arkham and What the Scare does and where he goes.

He starts a religious cult on insane (no like schizo insane) and converts homeless people and bums with his fear gas and hallucinogens into his death cult and uses them to create anarchy and crime all over Gotham. His small role in Dark Knight is just the conclusion for Gotham Night for he escapes again in that one and nearly kills Batman. He was a good choice to use in Batman Begins. Gotham Knight only hints at what the Joker is doing. You'll see where the Joker gets his beginnings. One wonders if he had not been a patient/ultimate creation of Dr. Crane. He wasn't but Hush was a student of his. Did you know that ScareCrow was almost a Yellow Lantern? Imagine if Sur's ring had reached him what a powerful enemy he would be with the power of a yellow ring. With his mastery of fear I think he'd give Sinestro a run for his money.

Yeh but then it would have been too long. It was better the way they did it I think, allowing him to escape and making you wonder. Also you may find out later that he never really made it to the station after Batman captures him. You see Gordon and his men take him away...however remember that Joker's men had infiltrated the police and Gordon's unit in particular. So the Scare Crow gets away again. But there is a twist.

Hope that doesn't spoil anything.

Also even though Heath died the Joker does not die in in the Dark Knight.

I can see this leading to black mask. However on comic forums it's the Riddler who everyone wants next.

I'd like to see Penguin and Black Mask. Batman is on the run now with people thinking he killed Dent.
