Nasdaq rises more than 7 percent as Wall Street advances on bank rescue optimism

US stocks rise strongly in early trading, as global shares respond to efforts by world leaders to stem the financial turmoil.

I am also opposed to corporate socialism, in the form of the recent Bailout/Extortion Bill.

I also do not mind giving money to the sick, old, and injured people. Also poor people in general, and homeless people. I do this on a pretty consistent basis.

There is a huge difference in what you are ok with doing, and what you are ok with the govt forcing OTHER people to do. You giving things to people is not socialism; it's generosity.

I am not a fan of socialism. I think people should be able to decide who they share with. I think the govt is the least efficient way of sharing anything. And I think that the govt by corruptible design will abuse any money intended for socialistic programs.

Basically, my opinion is any time a socialistic program is mandatory, it is bad.

That's not the socialism that worries me. Its the government dumping money into drug companies. More poor people (self included) would have healthcare if it didn't cost so much. Likewise even those who can afford it strain because they also have to help those who can't. The cost is the problem.

For example.
How much is say an ultrasound for a pregnant woman in Japan?
The cost is $100 the government pays 70% so it cost you just $30.
How much is the same thing in America? The cost is something like $2000
Even with good health insurance paying 70% you still owe $600 plus you have to pay your insurance each month which makes it cost about $800 just for that month of it. And you would also have to pay for at least a year's worth or the insurance would drop you and good luck getting insurance while pregnant.
Japan vs USA
. 100 vs 2000 USA 20 times more expensive
. 30 vs 600 plus USA 20 times more expensive. Not twice as much, twenty times as much!

Why does it cost so fucking much in the US and why does insurance cost so much? Because the government and big pharma are one.

Likewise a woman in Japan gets $3,000 the day the child is born and a year of paid leave. Are they drowning is taxes? No they just dont spend a trillion a year on military misadventures.
