CO2 doesn't have anything to do with global warming other than being a consequence of it. As temperature goes up, ocean water evaporates, CO2 that's mixed in the water is released and the CO2 level in the air increases because it got warmer. A greater concentration of salt in the ocean is connected to global warming in the same way as increased CO2 in the air. If that CO2 is now coming out of cars and factories and people instead of just oceans, it doesn't make it any more of a cause.
If you break a glass of water, water gets on the floor. Poring water on the floor from the faucet without touching the glass does not cause the glass to break.
