First thing when I got to America I landed in LA and had to catch a flight to DC. The first thing all foreigners are greeted with is the slobby TSA. I refused the voyeurism and got a rub down instead. Let me compare this to Osaka or Tokyo

Japan. In the civilized country I got through baggage check-in in is under 5 minutes. You won't believe that but it is true. That's because they have multiple workers up at the counters. You don't have to take off your shoes, get patted down, or go through a naked body scanner either. You put your carry on on a conveyer belt and walk through a metal detector. Not having everyone stop to take their shoes on and off or pause in a naked scanner saves so much time. You also can keep your drinks and or liquid products. I got through security in under 8 minutes! In the waiting room there was a play area for kids, and a flat screen TV showing baseball. And most odd of all the whole room was quiet even though it was full of people.

In America, the logistics were confusing even though its all in English and that's my native language. You can ask for help but chances are English will not be their native language. We had to go to another building to get to our gate. In line for the TSA they were making the women in front of me chug their water bottles as you are not allowed to have water on the other side of the gate. Apparently it might be acid or something. Then came when I asked to opt out they announced it mockingly to the whole room. A guy even asked me if I understood that it was not an X-ray. I said yes, but its still looking through my clothing. You can clearly see a person's private parts on the example photos they have. You also had to remove your shoes and everything from all of your pockets and take off your belt too if you had one. It took about 25 minutes to get through the line. Then my flight was delayed twice so that I would not arrive in DC until nearly midnight instead of 10 which messed up me meeting with Adam Kokesh.

I get to DC and you have to pay money to get a luggage cart, I didn't have dollars yet so I just had to carry everything awkwardly. In Japan it is free. Dulles despite us being the last flight to arrive, still was late on loading our luggage. On the way home I flew in from Orlando to Dulles and they made us wait 40mins for our luggage. A guy and his family waiting next to me said it was always like that. I'm glad I didn't have a connecting flight. Japanese airlines also give you bigger seats, way better service, and a happy staff. Thats because they have to compete with trains for domestic flights.

American services

I went to an American bank (BB&T) to exchange my money waited 40mins and no one could see me even though the bank was nearly empty this is because the woman I had to see was in her office with her friends and friend's kid gossiping. So I had to leave. Later I went back to the same branch but a different bank, and got good service because it had all eastern Europeans working there. If you are in the Outer Banks go to Nag's Head for banking not Kill Devil Hills, and never go to Buxton's bank.

I got cable turned on in my house, there is only one company, Charter. The cable should have been on already but they turned it off for lack of payment even though they were wrong and the bill had been paid. 1 and a half hours on the phone later talk to people machines and people in the Philippians they agree to come fix their screw up. They took 3 days longer than they said they would to show up. Finally a Polish guy comes and hooks it up. Few hours later the TV turns off for no reason because it lost signal. I then remembered ah yes that's how it was 2 years ago too when I built the house. I thought if Americans are so jobless, why do I always see Europeans working everywhere? Well why work when your unemployment check combined with food stamps gets you as much as working and you don't have to work?

I went to the DMV, and after showing my passport, VA drivers license, and a bill to my address, and social security card, I asked to change my license to NC. They asked for proof of car insurance. I said I dont have a car. I live in Japan I just want to get my NC license as the law requires. This is because the day before a cop pulled over my little brother and took his VA license away! Needless to say I just got a NC ID card for voting and no new license. actually not even that yet they will mail it to me in 48days of course I will need that forwarded to Japan.

My younger brother had surgery on his spine and prior to that could not lay down for months. The cop took away his license which had just been renewed because it said VA instead of NC so that he could not drive. The initial reason for pulling him was expired tags, this was because he had not been driving for months. He has to now walk to work post op which is very bad for his back. Seriously you suck America. the cop's name was Harris. We later found out he had been pulling over Mexican Americans (from where I used to work) routinely and harassing them. That's profiling.

Of course I could not go to the public beach on the island because the NPS had it closed until the day I left. That's been an on going problem. Another thing happened and this is minor but I was using a cell phone and randomly it would just not have enough signal and would hang up on calls. Maybe your used to that but in Japan that is unheard of.

I went to a Burger King in the LA airport because it has the fastest line and ended up with a piece of plastic in my drink which I found as I was drinking it. I was thinking man, farewell America I'm about to get on a plane and leave anyway.

My biggest shocker by far however was how huge people have gotten in the US.

Fat people
I am just shocked at how many obese people are here. I mean they are eating themselves to death. I've seen people on fat mobiles who are too fat to even walk. I think they were built for the elderly but it's the fat pack driving them. Peopel look like the character grimace from McDonalds and they are still eating fried food.

Part of it is the available food. It's all crap and it's all huge. French fries are every where even in nice restaurants. And in the supermarket the cheapest food is the unhealthiest food. Eating healthy cost more money. But if you are 200lbs and your a woman you should not be eating fried food or fast food. I am seeing kids with beer guts. They are like 9 and are overweight already. It was really sad. That's the parents fault if the kid is that big already and you control their food, it's not like they can buy it themselves.

I know BMI is BS but Americans are over weight. I've been in theme parks because my sister works for Disney so it's free. It like Buffalo watching. Nothing is better than the opening song at Disney and seeing a herd of fat people trying to run to space mountain in the morning. Some of the don't know which way to go and they are all running around angry and aimlessly. Disney's magic Kingdom recently changed all their menus to healthier food.
Universal Studios was the best though, chocolate chip cookies next to an eat healthier sign.

I'm just disgusted. I will have a video up later with my thoughtson why so many are so big. I don't think its just laziness, or over eating. I think its much more sinister. To more broad things: the US exploits its sick. Hospital patience have become hospital customers. I noticed all the prescription drug ads during the Olympics. The number one cause of debt in America isn't even over priced housing, it's medical expenses. Between college loans, (a clever way of creating indentured servants) over priced mortgages, utilities with regional monopolies, insurance you cannot buy on an open market, and the cost of healthcare if you or your family gets sick or hurt, I don't know how Americans can make it. Throw on top of that 20% real unemployment and gas prices and inflation, and ask me again why I now live in Asia.

Positive things about the US. The TV shows are funny, the food is delicious, every building has air conditioning that's just standard, and the houses are big. Also its not crowded, in general people not working for government or franchises are very nice.

Sounds like the exact opposite is true for japan. Disheartening somewhat.

Me too. Uber consuming lots of high-fructose corn syrup has greatly aided the American obesity epidemic.

I dont think its HFC. Thats been around for many decades without everyone being fat. It's not soda either. Japan has probbaly 50 times as many vending machines with all the same stuff in them coke etc and they are still skinny.

Well I’ve been many places in the world. I lived in Spain for several years and was in Japan for 6mths. I still prefer the US of A. I love my gardens and my space. I love all the natural wonders from the Grand Canyon to the beaches in Padre. The diversity of people and food are great too.
