The real numbers are more like twenty percent. From my observation many are not looking so long as an unemployment check comes in why work.. Wages are so low that not working can earn as much as working. This hurts businesses too who can not find employees willing to work which is why they hire eastern Europeans and Mexicans who work because for them a dollarcwage is a high wage.
