I'm not sure how well taking the parties off the ballots will work, Ry. People will only seek out the information they want, and that might just be whatever conforms to their narrow-minded prejudices. They'll do just enough research to learn who's Democrat and who's Republican, and from there simple-minded party politics will move right along.
I've long wondered whether people really are too stupid to govern themselves. I certainly hope not. Hopefully, the problem is just ignorance. Makes sense that the government's doing everything it can to kill the internet--Information is dangerous, and it shows they're afraid of it. People need to learn the facts and then learn to critically evaluate them. The truth is our best weapon. Long live the internet, and death to CISPA!
