little boy I have read more about Japan and post war construction then you ever will in your life. He absolutely did condone financing and working with the mob and Japan's right wing. And saying the Germans got it worse hardly exonerates anybody. And yes they openly had hookers and visited the queen Bee club. That wasn't just "his men" its was officers on down. This dick wanted to nuke Korea. He said oh I want article 9 because I abhor war especially after seeing the devastation of two nuclear bombs. Bullshit. They killed over a million Koreans and he still wanted to use the nukes again there. He didn't give a fuck about murdering people or what the bombs did. He wanted to remove Japanese's military so that the US could create massive offshore bases there to continue more imperial escapades. You are very McCathur like yelling commie at any criticism. The guy simply isn't a hero and he didn't write the constitution. He asked for one to be written then when HE didn't like it, he rejected that and had another one written. He had the papers censor criticism of it and had the radio give it praise. It was a good constitution in that it copied much of our own bill of rights. But all McCarthur was interested in really was article 9. He even had a two b52s fly over head during the signing as a reminder. Yes he was anti-communist so were the Japanese they had already been fighting China and Russia while the Americans had been their allies. The US replaced the Japanese forces in Korea and then the Chinese pimp slapped them back to the present borders. .

i read manchester's book on the jfk assassination and it was missing a lot of info, but i don't remember that part. i would like to see the actual passage from the first edition. manchester also wrote a kind biography of winston churchill and i hate churchill. i am sure all his facts were correct but i don't know how he 'felt'.
