It was great to go to an event that I didn't have to organize. The people there were wonderful. Conners supermarket came out and gave away free beef hotdogs (no pork no tax). It's simple. We don't want to be taxed just so that our money can bail out gambling addicted millionaires and irresponsible borrowers. It's not the peopel who bought a house they couldn't pay for who are in so much trouble as the people who bought several houses that they don't even live in which they can't pay for because they assumed they could just "flip them" all. I have no pity for such people. That is what you get for thinking you can get rich without working. I was trying to buy a house (to live in) back in the boom and it was hard because all these nuts were buying them up to sell for higher prices. Myself unwilling to borrow over what I could bu to get a house had to rents rooms for two years and at one point live in a girl's walk in closet and still pay rent. I finally got a house and paid for it until I moved to Japan in which case I sold my house, car, and everything. But face it, those people who did live beyond their means are still only a small fraction of the money when you compare it to the trillions for the imperialism and the hundreds of billions spent on bailing out mega corporations and financial institutions.

I tell you that from talking to a few people it's really still is tribalism for some. There were some Ron Paul people there and libertarian types and save the constitution types, but some of the other people were just die hard we-hate-Obama-types, and not because of the wars or anything like that. Now I hate Obama just as I hated Bush. I don't really see a difference. But they hated him because he's a Democrat and a "secret Muslim." That's so ignorant as sad. But whatever, I'll take it. Doing the right thing for the wrong reason is good enough when it's a crisis. I just want to be clear that these right-wingers overlap with libertarians only in as far as they share a common enemy. I don't want them to take over the face or direction of the movement. War spending is just as bad as banker bail outs. However with Obama you get the worst of both. He's still Israel's whipping boy and he never saw a Wall Street crook he didn't help if not hire.

I hate Obama for continuing all of Bushes wars and expanding into Pakistan. On top of that he continued Bush's bail out 8 fold and added to it a "stimulus" package now approaching 4 trillion dollars of spending more than Bush and that's just in 4 months.

And yet it seems when Bush was blowing away trillions these people were quiet. And now that Obama is in charge of the wars, the people who were in the street hating Bush are now somehow rationalizing the war. It shows that the tribalist Democrats and Republicans support a social identity more than ideas. You could see the same thing pre-Bush when the Neocons ripped on Clinton for attacking Bosnia and yet look at how much they backed Bush in his wars. It's all about the money. If they involve the right companies in their war then they get good PR on the MSM and support. These sheep act like it's a religion or a favorite sports teams. Nothing is based on merit or sense they just pick a side and are loyal to it no matter what it is doing.
