Martial Artists and Native Americans have special reasons to hate McCain. And as a Native American Martial Artists I'm double pissed.

At least we won't have Hillary.

What this shows is how much big business effects McCain. Now that Budweiser is a sponsor of Ultimate Fighting Championship fights McCain has no problem with it. But when the UFC was rivaling Boxing back in the Gracie days, McCain and trusty super Zionist side kick Joe Lieberman tried to get it banned. And many states and cities did ban it.

We've bounced back though.
I'd like a guy like Frank Shamorck to debate McCain. I remember when FOX cut him off because he was speaking out against the war and religion and many other larger things we can't talk about on the MSM when they brought him on to defend MMA from some kook child psychologist trying to ban it with the McCain camp.

Sorry, Anti-NC, but I have to sympathize with McSame on this one to a slight degree. First off, I do NOT think that MMA nor boxing should be "banned" (people should be free to do and watch as they please), BUT, you cannot argue that it isn't the most primitive, violent "entertainment" activity out there (note that I did not call it a "sport" -- it's not; it really is a human form of cock-fighting). One look at who many of the main participants are (ex-military) and who sponsors this stuff (our various armed services) and it is obvious that our government LOVES MMA, since it inspires anger, aggression and hatred. The result? It becomes much easier to recruit "Joe-the-MMA-fan" and send him off to needless war such that he, too, can be "violent and aggressive" and get paid for it (and pass it off as "patriotism"). All due respect to you, Anti-NC, I agree with many of your political views and appreciate your MS bulletins, but think you need to take a deeper look at MMA, and why our government (i.e., the NeoCon war-mongers) is actually FOR this stuff, and not against it as you might think. The bottom line is that activities such as MMA (and boxing) contribute to the "us versus them" mentality of the sheeple, and are counterproductive in promoting a peaceful society. My guess is that the mysterious 9% of Americans who feel this country is going in the "right" direction are also MMA fans who have probably had their heads beaten into the ground one too many times. How else could you explain the 9%??? Peace out.

Martial arts is not primitive. It's the maximum of human physical potential. Has less injuries than gymnastics, football or hockey. I don't know a single UFC fighter who is x-military. Your assumption is flat out wrong. And many of the fighters aren't even American they are from Brazil, Canada and Japan. And it's not a cock fight it's a sport. It combines other sports like boxing and wrestling and Judo together. Several champions in the sport have spoken out against the war as well as religion and it does not contribute to us vs them. You obviously don't know anything about it. You don't have to like or understand the sport but it's a sport. You don't know the training and strategy that goes into it. This isn't just some bums picked from a bar thrown into a street fight. Martial arts weeds out the weak. And what you will discover is that the war hawk types are the weak. Stripped of their guns they can't fight worth a damn.

The government HATES MMA they tried to have it banned. Because it pops the tough guy bubble. None of their people can do it. Because the super marine guy bad ass is pure hollywood. In reality its a bunch of highschool fuck ups sent in as cannon fodder for corporations and without vastly superior weapons and sometimes even with them, they get their asses kicked by malnourished civilians.

It's the pussy who attaches himself to the military for vicarious masculinity. Two current champions are from Brazil and one from Canada another is from Russia only two are American and all of them are against the war. In fact Putin is a good freind of Fedor and GSP is openly anti-war as is Frank Shamrock. Anderson Silva likes comic books and doesn't even speak English. And Nog is a peaceful giant. He was run over by a truck when he was 9 and had his ribs and guts and spine crushed. After recovering from a coma of 4 weeks, he was lucky to be alove then told he would never walk again, and yet now he is a world champion. Matt Hamil is probably the most famous deaf athlete in the world. From Bruce Lee to Kenny Florian Martial arts has always blended with intellectuals and philosophy the body is not separate from the mind(brain) and a weak/simple minded person will never excel in martial arts. You can see a vast difference in intelligence now and in reputation between martial artists in general and atheletes from other sports who tend to be rather embarrassing.

I figured that I'd get a response from you, but have no interest in "debating" the issue. However...

Enclosing two men in a cage with the objective of bloodying-up and putting their opponent into submission is not a sport. It's aggression and violence in its purest form, regardless of one's country of origin. Have we not evolved since the Roman era? Coincidentally, the fuck-ups of our neo-con government are making the same fuck-ups on many levels that the Romans made 2000 years ago. Look where it got them.

If someone wants to show their "human physical potential", why must it be at the literal expense of someone else (i.e., beating the living shit out of them)? Where is the peace in that, bro? Why do we call that "entertainment"? Why are we teaching such violence to our children??? Again, should we not have evolved as a species past such behavior and grammar-school, egocentric mindlessness (i.e., "I'm better than you because I can kick your butt.")? What's next? MMA Dad Competitions ("My dad can beat up your dad...).

Peace out.

The Romans forced unwilling slaves to fight with weapons and to the death. It's not even comparable.

Have you ever watched a UFC fight? Honnestly.
Regardless of one's country of origin that was to counter your idea of Neocons loving the sport and feeding the military.
You said they were X military people thats flat out wrong. Its not a debate its a fact. You also said the neocons support mma. They do not they tried to have it banned. And you said mma supports the war and they dont.

I agree that the Neoocns are like the romans but not the martial artists. MMA is not about machoism.

Do you have the same feelings about boxing and wrestling. Boxing is worst then MMA the point in boxing is to win by knock out and they are not to lock up they just swing for 12 rounds. Submitting is nothing you tap and you're fine. There are submissions in Judo (an olympic sport) as well as Jujitsu and Sambo (sports in Russia, Japan and Brazil). And there is plenty of striking in boxing and kickboxing both sports in the olympics as well as professional sports in the US and around the world. Yes they wear gloves so does MMA. And I am not knocking boxing, they've been famous too for being anti-war Alo is a great example. It's dangerous for the Neocons because here is a proven tough guys saying how stupid war is. They can't challenge him on that be a an bullshit. When some wuss says the same things he can be brushed off as some lazy hippy.

You just don't like it. But its a sport.Just one you don't understand.
You know many of the most violent politicians are the same ones who hate MMA, violent video games and rock music. They can't stand "aggressive" anything. And yet they want to murder people.

A few martial arts arose from the pressure to fight off occupations. Capoeira and Karate came from fighting the Japanese occupation of Okinawa and the Europeans in Brazil. And jujitsu was modified in Japan from Ninjitsu as a way for the police force to apprehend criminals without having to knock their brains out or shock/stab them.

I teach martial arts. I watch it change people and make them grow. The hot head that come in there never make it. A couple wacks of the humble stick are too much. A martial artist understands actual combat and how serious it is. It's no longer "cool."

I'm a martial artist and you know how passionately anti-war I am. I work on it everyday. No other sport has the totality of MMA, save maybe gymnastics and acrobats, both push the body but lack the wits and decision making.

Three things you said that are factually wrong.

Neocons like MMA. They don't that's a fact.
MMA spawns prowar fans and are x military. That's wrong it's the opposite. And name one x military fighter in the UFC. There are two former cops but that's way different. There are dozens of anti-war activists. Jeff Manson uses John Lennon's Imagine for entrance music. From Bruce Lee to Mohamed Ali there have been outspoken anti-war fighters.
MMA is not a sport. MMA is several sports woven together and they run under the state athletics commissions like everyone else. It's a sport by definition. Having blood in the sport is no different that other sports. Most racing sports result in deaths. Baseball have more deaths than MMA which has a wopping Zero. Bet you didn't know that.

Some underground bullshit cage fight where they pay desperate people money to go beat the crap out of each other would be a cock fight. Trained and screened professional athletes who goe 3 to 5 rounds of professional martial arts are not a human cock fight. At worst there is a knock out same as boxing. Normally there is a tap or a decision. It's a strategy and the "kill'em" fans have faded complaining it was boring. They couldn't understand the ground game or submissions. They wanted something like bare knuckle boxing which is much more violent.

You can say you don't like it fine. But you can't say its a bunch of x military when it isn't and you can't say neocons love it when they don't. That's demonstrateable. And you can't say its not a sport when it is. You could say you don't think it should be but not that it isn't one.

Normally the most violent children are the ones not playing any sports. Constructive activity be it just running in a circle, swimming, wrestling, or hitting a tennis ball it doesn't matter its healthy. It's not going to assure that a kid is ok but it certainly puts them on a positive path.

You know what a bully hates more than anything? A martial artist. Not only can they not pick on them but they can't bully at all as long as that person is around. And its normally the weak kids picking on even weaker kids when there is bullying. Or its a group and its normally verbal. Nothing will shut that shit up faster and inviting that ass hole into the ring. What stops a young bully. a teacher. Why? Because they're bigger. It's not that a teacher knocks the crap out of them its that they can. Learn how to fight so that you never have to. I never got in fights but I broke up a number of them (because I could with no risk).

You can claim all day long how violent MMA is but the proof is in the reality of it. MMA has fewer injuries than other sports and zero deaths. In fact even fake pro wrestling has more of both than MMA.

Someone who hasn't done sport intensively for like at least 2 years, will not understand anything about how it changes you.

A healthy body harbors a healthy mind.

Most people who are in to sports are not that crazy about televisions. They can simply turn it off and go jogging for an hour ... this alone is bad for the neocons since one of their greatest weapons is the television. Guess how pro-sport parents will raise their kids ...

Woah, my friend. You are obviously very passionate about MMA. I knew that before I made the comment. I do not watch MMA/UFC, etc., since every time I've come across it, it simply looked like two animals beating the fuck out of each other in a cage, literally trying to kill their opponent. Blood everywhere. Not my scene.

I'm a soccer player.

I am well aware of the "mental" benefits of MA, but I just don't see the need to beat someone senseless to prove anything. It's just pure ego -- the root cause of all evil in this world. Boxing is no different. Ego. Essentially, all competitive "sport" is ego-based but, again, I don't see the need to involve such a high degree of violence and aggression.

RE military fighters, I am quite certain that on many occasions, the fighters I've seen on TV were introduced as "Marine", etc. I also remember the armed services commercials between rounds. What's up with that?

I think we'll have to agree to disagree on much of this. No worries. Such is a free country. Isn't that what connected you and I in the first place?

Peace, my friend. Keep up the good Anti-neocon work.

- Dave

PS: Who are you voting for? It looks like Baldwin is getting my vote.

I think you're watching some Bullshit promotion. I have never seen a fight with blood everywhere and there are Zero military poeple in the professional league.

The reason is to reach that person need an enormous amount of discipline and toughness. Marines don't have that. They have obedience, prejudice, and guns. There aren't any in UFC I know every fighter.

McCain and Hillary and Lieberman tried to ban the UFC. The neocons hate it.
here watch this
http://mmalinker. com/xSearch. php?name=tito&vidid=9016&vidt=i
that's a normal fight between champions.
Not bloody and full of tactics.

The announcers are a former wrestler and a karate guy

Fights are not pure ego. Maybe the fans are. Look at the hoolagans at a soccer match. Those games are like European religions. And they have more injuries than MMA because its a bunch of pussies who get hurt just from running. A small touch anywhere and they fly down to the ground. It's nearly a brainless sport. Yeh there are plays but like like real plans like football, it's basically kick the ball in the goal. A sober man couldn't watch it.

People aren't doing MA to prove anything. Fighting is fun. That's why I do it. I could careless if I win or lose. Some of my most fun matches were losses and sometimes I don't even remember who won. That is how little I care.
